After sharing a poster featuring Vidya Balan, the makers of Shakuntala Devi, have now shared a new poster of the film featuring Pataakha girl, Sanya Malhotra. Check out her first look, Sanya plays Shakuntala Devi's daughter in the film.
After Vidya Balan, the makers of Shakuntala Devi have now unveiled Sanya Malhotra’s look from the film. Sanya Malhotra, who was last seen in Badhaai Ho has been ruling the silver screen ever since she made her debut with Fatima Sana Shaikh and Aamir Khan in Dangal. A few days back, Sanya was introduced as Vidya Balan’s reel-life daughter Anupama Banerji and now the makers reveal her look in the new poster.
Giving a sneak-peek of her look on social media, Sanya Malhotra wrote, “Wait, don’t judge a book by its cover Stay tuned for what’s behind it- tomorrow! #AnupmaBanerji #ShakuntalaDevi @balanvidya @sonypicsprodns @directormenon @ivikramix @sneharajani_ @abundantiaent”. The new poster sees an unrecognizable Sanya hiding her face behind a book. With straight hair Sanya Malhotra is all smiles for the camera.

Earlier, Sanya Malhotra, in her official statement had said, "I am very excited to play the iconic Shakuntala Devi’s daughter - Anupama Banerji. Everyone knows the achievements of the math genius Shakuntala Devi. I’m thrilled to bring onscreen this dynamic mother-daughter relationship and equally thrilled to work with Vidya Balan. Also looking forward to my first association with Sony Pictures Networks Productions and Vikram Malhotra."
For those who’ve come in late, Shakuntala Devi took the world by storm with her talent of making incredibly swift calculations from a very young age. Despite no formal education, Shakuntala Devi made a name for herself globally as a ‘math genius’. Her great mathematical skills even find a mention in the Guinness Book of World Records.
The principal photography of Shakuntala Devi – The Human Computer has commenced today and it is scheduled to hit the big screens in summer 2020.
