Shershaah: Sidharth Malhotra Reveals How His Marriage Biodata Will Look Like; Opens Up On His Delhi Life And His Family- EXCLUSIVE
Bollywood actor Sidharth Malhotra is currently basking in the praises he has been receiving from critics as well as cinegoers for his portrayal of Capt Vikram Batra in Shershaah. The film premiered today on Amazon Prime Video, and fans are impressed with the film and Sidharth for aptly chronicling the life and times of Captain Vikram Batra on celluloid. Amidst all this, we got in touch with Sidharth, where he got a little candid about his Delhi life and family. He also spoke about how his marriage biodata will look like.

During the interaction, Sid was asked how he wants his biodata to look if a girl asks him for marriage purposes, referring to a scene from the film. Completely taken away by the question, Sid thought for a while before answering. “Delhi boy,” he said. He then chimed in, “I’ve written this for the longest time on my Instagram, ‘keep it real’. Also on my Twitter. I feel that’s something inherently is a deep part of me because I hate, I mean, of course, in the business it sounds funny, but I hate when people put their facades up and do not say things as is. It requires a lot of energy to be somebody else in life. We are professionals, we get paid to be that but unfortunately, the whole world does it.”

Coming to the point, he said, “So, Delhi boy, keep it real, there would be different hashtags, what else? My story is yet to be written. I think it is just the beginning and it would be difficult to summarise it. I feel there’s a long journey ahead.”

Talking about his Delhi life and his family, Sid said that he hails from Delhi and did his schooling at Don Bosco school. “My relationship with the Army or with the forces or [whatever] concerning the film, is pretty much from my grandfather that comes in.” He said that when he was little, he used to see many trunks at home which had ‘Major Shivkumar Kumar Malhotra’ written on them. Not knowing the meaning of ‘Major’, he thought that major was his grandfather’s name.

Did you know Sidharth is a Punjabi Khatri? Well, another feature that equates him with the real Vikram Batra is their culture. Talking about it, he said, “I met Vikram Batra’s family first and then I met his father and then I met all of them in Palampur. The first thing that struck me was the culture, even though they grew up in Palampur, the middle-class Punjabi family of the North was very similar to mine.”

Stating that even though he is from a middle class family, the first thought that struck him was that Vikram’s family can be his family as well. The accent, the quirks of Punjabis and more made him emotionally connect the actor to his family. With this, Malhotra also thought he had to do justice to him and his life story.

Shershaah features Kiara Advani as Dimple Cheema, Capt Vikram Batra's fiancee, who remained unmarried all her life after his untimely demise. The Vishnuvardhan directorial is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
