Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar’s sweet love story is one that resonates with everyone. The couple met each other for the first time on the sets of the reality show ‘I Can Do That’. While Farhan was the judge of the show, Shibani was a contestant. It won’t be wrong to say that the reality show played cupid for both the actors, who got married this year in February. In a recent interview, Shibani revealed an interesting detail about the actor’s impromptu marriage proposal.
Speaking to Elle India, Shibani revealed that Farhan proposed to her for marriage in the Maldives and thus the beach destination is very special for them. The actress also recalled that it was ‘very unexpected’ as she had no idea about it. Dandekar was quoted saying, “I had no idea it was going to happen. We had not even discussed it. But this is again Farhan. When he decides something, he does it. I was never the kind who wanted to get married and have all that jazz. But when Farhan asked, it just felt right in the moment and after the initial shock, I said yes!”
Recalling how their love story started, Shibani mentioned that she and Farhan began chatting and they used to chat via messages, and then started doing video calls. She also revealed that when the couple started dating, they discovered different sides of each other that they probably wouldn’t have imagined. Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar got married in an intimate ceremony on the 19th of February 2022, at Javed Akhtar’s Khandala farmhouse. The duo made their relationship official on Instagram in 2018.
