Shilpa Shetty REACTS To Husband Raj Kundra's Controversy: ‘We've All In Our Lives Been Through Difficult Phase
At the trailer launch of Nikamma, Shilpa Shetty indirectly addressed the controversy surrounding her husband Raj Kundra
Shilpa Shetty Kundra had gone through difficult times in the past few years following the arrest of her husband Raj Kundra. The actress was also dragged into the controversy and her statement too was recorded by the Mumbai police in the case. Now, Shilpa has finally reacted to this. Though she did not directly address the controversy, she spoke about the difficult phase in her life. Speaking at the trailer launch event of her upcoming film ‘Nikamma’, the Dhadkan actress stated that we've all been through a difficult phase in our lives.
When asked about Raj Kundra’s controversy, Shilpa said, “I think we are here to celebrate a new beginning. For now, let’s talk about my director Sabbir (Khan) and the actors who have worked really hard on the movie — Abhimanyu and Shirley. This is not about me or my life. Talking about the difficult phase, the actress stated she felt like she had braved a storm. Shilpa was quoted saying, "We've all in our lives been through (a) difficult phase. The last two years have not just been difficult for me, but a lot of people. The film industry in general (has gone through a lot), because films have been ready and they’ve been in the can, not being able to see the light of day as people couldn't come to the theatres.”
For the unversed, Shilpa Shetty’s husband and businessman Raj Kundra was arrested by the Mumbai Police in connection with an adult film racket last year. He walked out of a jail two months after his arrest. Raj Kundra, since then, has been keeping a low profile and is often spotted hiding from the paparazzi’s camera.
