On June 27, the Udta Punjab actress announced expecting her first child with husband Ranbir Kapoor via a sweet post on her Instagram handle. Alia, since then has been the center of attraction. A woman by the name ‘newbee_forfun’ disclosed Alia’s pregnancy news on the social media platform Reddit. In fact, her post was deleted and her account was banned. The user had written, “Apparently, Miss Bhatt is pregnant. Source is an assistant who is a friend/makeup artist.” The screenshot of this post has gone viral on social media. Reportedly, back then the user was called out for spreading fake news and her claims were termed as mere gossip. However, now that Alia herself has confirmed her pregnancy, the user’s account is now restored and the ban has been lifted. Informing the same, the Reddit user wrote, “Hello friends, the ban has been lifted from me. Thank you for giving me credit. I can understand that sounded fanciful at the time, but I trusted the source.” Many netizens extended their support to the female user saying she was right and deserves an award.
Meanwhile, Alia shared the happy news with the world by sharing a photo of herself with Ranbir from the hospital on Instagram and wrote, “Our baby… is coming soon.” The couple got married on April 14 at the actor’s residence Vastu in Mumbai. Alia and Ranbir’s wedding was a low-key affair with just family members, relatives, and a few close friends in attendance.
