Sanjay Dutt revealed why he didn’t want Ranveer Singh to star in the remake of Khalnayak
Sanjay Dutt is, undoubtedly, one of the most sought-after actors in Bollywood. He has proved his merit as a versatile actor with his movie ventures like Khalnayak, Munnabhai MBBS, Shamshera, KGF Chapter 2 and many more. The actor recently appeared on the comedy show Case Toh Banta Hai, hosted by Riteish Deshmukh and Varun Sharma.
During a fun interaction, Varun asked the senior actor who he would not want to reprise his role as Khalnayak if a remake was ever made. Dutt’s options were Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, or Vicky Kaushal. The 63-year-old actor’s immediate response was Ranveer Singh and his reason left everyone in splits.
The actor said, "Ranveer Singh, woh aaj kal kapde nahi pehenta hai. (Ranveer Singh, because he doesn’t wear clothes nowadays.)" It seems like Sanjay Dutt took a subtle jibe at Ranveer Singh for his recent controversy.
In the show, the senior actor is seen shaking a leg with his Dhamaal co-star and Janta Ka Lawyer, Riteish Deshmukh. He was also reminded of his Munnabhai MBBS co-star Arshad Warsi as Sugandha Bhosle played the role of Circuit. The actor was left impressed by her performance.
Case Toh Banta Hai stars Riteish Deshmukh as a defence lawyer, Varun Sharma as a public prosecutor, and Kusha Kapila as the judge who must decide the fate of the actors summoned to the set. The comedy show streams on Amazon miniTV.
On the work front, Sanjay Dutt was last seen in Shamshera alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Vaani Kapoor. He is currently busy promoting his upcoming South film KD – The Devil.
