According to the latest report, Bollywood ace filmmaker Karan Johar was on the target list of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. Yes, you read that right! An Etimes TV report mentioned that Siddhesh Kamble alias Mahakal, an alleged member of the Lawrence Bishnoi during his investigation told Police that Karan was among the persons the gang had planned to target for extortion. However, a senior Police official also warned that these claims made by Siddhesh are yet to verify.
There could be a possibility of an element of bragging in Kamble's statements. Siddhesh told Police that the Lawrence Bishnoi gang had allegedly planned to extort Rs 5 crore from Karan Johar by threatening him. To note, Siddhesh Kamble is a close aide of Santosh Jadhav, who is a suspected shooter in the brutal killing of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala. A Police Official stated that Kamble was aware of the murder conspiracy of Moosewala. Kamble is in the custody of Pune rural police for an earlier case. He was interrogated by the teams of Delhi Police's Special Cell, Punjab Police, and Mumbai Crime branch in regard to a threat letter given to Salman Khan and his father Salim Khan earlier this month. The Police Official told PTI that he took Santosh Jadhav and Nagnath Suryavanshi names for being involved in the killing. Not just this, but he also gave some information about future plans of the Bishnoi gang.
Kamble in his statement went on to reveal that after Sidhu Moosewala's murder, the Bishnoi gang decided to take the advantage of the sensation his murder created. Thus, they planned to threaten Bollywood celebrities. To threaten Salman Khan for extortion was also part of the plan, made by Vikram Brar.
