Subhai Ghai took to Twitter to congratulate Team Pad Man for the film. Says that he loved the venture for its honesty in handling a bold subject.

Apte and Sonam Kapoor starrer Pad Man is going strong at the box-office. The
film is inspired by the life of Arunachalam Muruganantham, a social
activist from Tamil Nadu who introduced
low-cost sanitary napkins. Through the film, Team Pad Man also brings
forth the subject of menstrual hygiene which is still considered a taboo in the
Indian society.

Deepika Padukone and Irrfan Khan.
