Veteran actor Shakti Kapoor’s son Siddhanth Kapoor has been caught in a massive drug case. He was detained by Bengaluru Police after he tested positive for the consumption of drugs at a rave party. Yesterday, Siddhanth was released on bail along with the four others arrested for consuming drugs. Now, as per the latest update on this, Siddhanth Kapoor, in his defence, has claimed that someone at the party mixed drugs in his drinks and cigarettes and that he was not aware of it.

During his interrogation, the actor told the Police that he did not know about the drugs as someone gave him drinks and cigarettes laced with drugs. IANS quoted Bhimashankar Guled, DCP as saying, “Siddhanth Kapoor claimed that drugs were mixed in his drinks and he didn't know about it. He told the police that he had been in Bengaluru many times to attend parties as DJ. This was the fourth time that he went to the hotel from where he was arrested. We have got the guest list and suspicious persons will be called for questioning.” ALSO READ: BREAKING! Reportedly, the medical test of Shraddha Kapoor’s brother confirmed that he consumed drugs and cocaine at the rave party. Siddhanth's phone has been seized by the Police for data retrieval and the investigation is underway. 

Siddhanth Kapoor has also issued a statement where he mentioned that he is cooperating with the investigation. He told TOI, “I was at the hotel and there was an investigation going on. I have been cooperating. The Bangalore police have been really good, they are doing a great job. They should continue what they are doing to save many lives.”

For the unversed, on 12th June night, Bengaluru Police after receiving a tipoff busted an overnight drug party in a 5 Star hotel. A few people were detained including Siddhant for drug usage.
