So What If Barkha Dutt Is OK With Noor? I Will Not Budge: Pahlaj Nihalani
Barkha Dutt had laughed at CBFC’s diktat to chop off a reference to her in Sonakshi Sinha starrer Noor but that does not mean that the Censor Board will acquiesce
CBFC (Central Board Of Film Certification) Chief Pahlaj Nihalani is once again battling detractors. This time, it is journalist Barkha Dutt who has called the Board’s decision “bizarre” after CBFC asked the makers of Sonakshi Sinha-starrer Noor to omit a reference to her.
Barkha without the Dutt dear Censor Board is kinda like poori minus channa. More seriously, how bizarre is this decision !! https://t.co/qPYSNLOqEy

But , when SpotboyE.com contacted Nihalani about it, he shot back: “Has Barkha Dutt seen the scenes she is mentioned in? Tomorrow if she has a problem with it, she may drag the film and me to court. I have already got a taste of it with Jolly LLB 2.”
For the uninitiated, Bata had filed a defamation case against the team of Jolly LLB 2 for making a derogatory reference to the brand in the first official trailer of the movie. And they had also taken CBFC to task for passing the trailer.
With the CBFC deciding to strictly enforce these rules, our filmmakers are likely to see many such run-ins with the Censors.
