Sofia Hayat Is Deeply Affected By Tunisha Sharma’s Suicide, Says 'Young Girls Get Sexually Involved With Older Men On The Sets'
Former Bigg Boss contestant Sofia Hayat is the latest celebrity to mourn the sad demise of TV actress Tunisha Sharma, who committed suicide on the sets of her show. Sofia is deeply saddened to hear the tragic death news of the 20-year-old actress and blamed the makers of TV shows for casting young actresses to romance older men. She feels they are the real culprits and that young girl easily get manipulated.

Speaking with ETimes TV, Sofia Hayat said, “It is sad when you read about young actors killing themselves just because of failed relationships. I seriously feel makers are the culprit in these cases. They hire young actresses and cast them opposite men who are much older and make their romance in their projects. These kids who have just started acting and are not experienced artists, are easily manipulated on set while shooting, and get sexually involved with older men who convince them that sexual intimacy is the norm in the industry.” ALSO READ: Tunisha Sharma Suicide Case: Sheezan Khan's Police Custody Gets Extended, Deleted WhatsApp Chats To Be Investigated And Family’s Statements Likely To Be Recorded-Report

She added that she herself has gone through the same as she knows the producers who did the same as her but she always swerved them in another direction. Hayat further stressed adopting the culture to hire properly learned artists and to pay them a good amount.

“Why are the makers of the show silent, and why has no proper statement been released on the case by them? Money is the supremacy, and with that, controversial suicide cases are closed before full investigation, as has happened in past. Can actors rise up enough to stop this from happening in the future? People in senior positions can easily pay off police etc,” Sofia further explained.

For the unversed, Tunisha Sharma died by suicide on December 24. She was found hanging in the make-up room of rumoured boyfriend and co-star Sheezan Mohammed Khan on the sets of her show Ali Baba: Daastan-E-Kabul.
