Sonakshi Sinha's Khandaani Shafakhaana's quirky take on a sex clinic was well received by the audience. In the film, Sonakshi Sinha aka Baby Bedi plays the character of a sexologist who is trying to make the discussion on the taboo subject of sex in Indian society. However, the film which was supposed to release on July 26, 2019, will now release on August 2, 2019.
While sharing the new poster of the film, Sonakshi wrote, "Jann hitt mein jaari ek soochna #KhandaaniShafakhana ab haqq se khulega 2nd August ko!!! #BaatTohKaro"
As the new release date is now announced, this pretty much indicates that Sonakshi starrer will not battle it out with Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao starrer Mental Hai Kya which is scheduled to release on July 26, 2019.
The trailer of the film guaranteed a fun ride with actors Varun Sharma, Anu Kapoor, and Sonakshi Sinha, who gets her uncle’s sex clinic upon his death. But the twist to that is that she could sell it only after she runs the clinic for six months. From there on, Baby Bedi starts her journey of a female sexologist. The film will also star rapper Badshah who will play the character of a singer who is Baby’s uncle’s customer in the film.
A month ago, Journalist-turned-director, Amitabh Parashar had accused T-series of stealing the idea of his script for their new movie, Khandaani Shafakhana and sent a legal notice to them.
Khandaani Shafakhana will be locking horns with Arjun Patiala starring Kriti Sanon, Diljit Dosanjh and Varun Sharma at the box office.
