Yesterday, Jaya Bachchan gave an arousing speech in Parliament talking about the image of the Indian film industry getting tarnished. She took a jibe at actor Ravi Kishan who had previously in his statement spoken about Bollywood and its drug addiction. The speech went viral and many hailed her on social media. From Sonam Kapoor to Taapsee Pannu and Hema Malini, many lauded Jaya Bachchan for her speech. Sonam took to her Twitter and stated that she wants to be like her when she grows up. This, however, called for trolling.

Sonam got trolled on Twitter for saying that she wants to be like Jaya Bachchan. Many poked fun at her for the same saying the same. A user wrote, "Roses are red, Violet are blue, At 35 sonam is not grown up, #SonamKapoor is so dumb she proves again.." Another one wrote, "Even we want you to grown up like her. Like she stopped doing movies after marriage you should also stop." One more netizen commented, "#SonamKapoor Sonam Kapoor tested positive for NOT HAVING BRAIN."

In her speech, the senior actor had stated, "I was really embarrassed and ashamed yesterday one of our members in the Lok Sabha, who is from the industry spoke against (I am not taking the name) the film industry. It is a shame ‘jis thali mein khate hai usi me chhed karte hai’, galat baat hai (They bite the hands which feed them)".
