Sonu Nigam Reveals He Sang For Laal Singh Chaddha Because of Aamir Khan; Says, ‘I Am Not A Bhikhaari Singer, Not Begging For Work’
Sonu Nigam is one such singer who doesn’t need any introduction. Known for his versatile voice, Sonu has landed his voice for many popular celebrities and has given strings of chartbusters back in the ’90s and 2000. After taking a long gap from Hindi film Industry, the  ace singer is back with a new project. He recently revealed that he sang for Aamir Khan’s upcoming film Laal Singh Chaddha.

Talking about his upcoming project, Sonu Nigam spoke to Bollywood Hungama where he revealed the real reason why he wasn’t picking any songs. Sonu said he can’t beg for work and go out to different music composers and ask for work. Adding to this, Sonu said that he won’t disappoint his fans by running behind the music maestros for work. Sonu Nigam was quoted saying  "How will my fans feel if I started begging for work in secret while pretending to be a king in front of everyone.”

However, there is good news for Sonu fans as they will soon hear their favorite singer singing for none other than Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan. Sonu said he agreed to sing a song only because Aamir Khan wanted him to lend voice for him. Divulging the details, Sonu said, "Pritam told me, I would only ask you to croon a song when I know no one can sing again it besides you.” After this, it was a yes from my side, he revealed.



For the unversed, Pritam and Sonu Nigam were not on good terms after the former replaced his version with that of Sreerama Chandra’s, but keeping aside all the past grudges, both are ready to work together in Laal Singh Chaddha.

The movie also stars Kareena Kapoor in the lead role and will hit theaters on April 14, 2022.
