Sonu Nigam Says 'I Believe Kangana Ranaut When She Says A Chappal Was Thrown At Her' After The Actress Recalled The Incident With Mahesh Bhatt

Kangana Ranaut is hitting headlines since the last few days for voicing out her opinions. The actress speaks freely and is fearless as she speaks out. In an explosive interview with Republic TV, Kangana opened up about an incident and claimed that filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt chased her and threw a slipper at her at Woh Lamhe’s trial and mentioned that she managed to run away and save herself. Now, singer Sonu Nigam says he believes the Thalaivi actress as he does not think she can make stories like this.
Speaking with Times Now, Sonu Nigam applauded Kangana Ranaut’s brave efforts of taking a stand for herself. When asked if the Insider Vs Outsider debate exists in Bollywood or the music industry, and about Kangana saying that Sushant Singh Rajput was under pressure, Sonu Nigam mentioned he met with the actress only once or twice. He also said that he has much respect for Kangana Ranaut, who is much younger than him, as he thinks it takes a lot of clarity of mind to take a bold stand.
Sonu Nigam then continued to talk about the bold stand Kangana Ranaut has been taking for the past four to five years. Talking further, Sonu Nigam opened up about Kangana’s claimes that Mahesh Bhatt threw a chappal at her, the singer said, “I am only supposed to believe what she has narrated about her. Agar unhone kaha hai ki unpe chappal pheki gayi hai, toh pheki gayi hogi bhai.” The singer then questioned if the discussion is limited to insiders vs outsiders or people taking advantage of their powerful positions.

He added, “The people who could be wrong for her, maybe, may mean nothing to me. I have probably have had no experiences even though I have been working with them for the last 25-30 years, but I might have had none such experiences with those people. But if she’s saying that they’ve done something to her which is as ugly as this, it is up to us to believe her or not to believe her. During the interview, Sonu Nigam also said that maybe Kangana Ranaut is trying to say that everyone needs to be kind to each other. Meanwhile, it all began when Pooja Bhatt has a war of words with Kangana Ranaut’s team on Twitter. The team of the Manikarnika actress reminded Bhatt of how her father threw chappal at Kangana.
