Bollywood actor Sonu Sood gained prominence in the Hindi film industry through his versatile acting performances. Apart from that, he was dubbed as a ‘messiah’ for his philanthropic work towards the migrant workers and daily wage earners during the COVID-19 pandemic. He recently took to his official social handle to defend a Swiggy delivery partner for stealing a customer’s Nike shoes, while on the job. The incident that happened in Gurugram was captured by the CCTV. A video of the same is now going viral on social media.

Taking to his official X handle, Sonu expressed how the delivery person might be in need of shoes for him to take such a step. He urged that no actions should be taken against him and that one should buy him a new pair. The 50-year-old actor wrote, “If Swiggy’s delivery boy stole a pair of shoes while delivering food at someone’s house. Don’t take any action against him. In fact buy him a new pair of shoes. Well, it is safe to say that the tweet didn’t go down well with the netizens. Many criticised him for his views and others slammed him for encouraging stealing in the name of philanthropy.. One wrote, “So if I need anything, am I allowed to steal anything from anyone’s house?
