Sooraj Barjatya’s Father Raj Kumar Barjatya Passes Away
Bollywood film producer, Raj Kumar Barjatya of Rajshri films, passed away at Mumbai’s Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital, this morning. A few minutes back, the official twitter handle of Rajshri announced the sad demise of Raj Kumar Barjatya and wrote, “It is with profound grief that we mourn the loss of Raj Kumar Barjatya, father of Sooraj Barjatya. May his soul Rest In Peace.” 

The funeral of Raj Kumar Barjatya will take place at 4.30 pm at Worli Crematorium, near Four Seasons Hotel, Worli. Raj Kumar is survived by his wife Sudha Barjatya and son Sooraj Barjatya. Meanwhile, the industry is shocked with the sudden demise and took to social media to express grief.

Sharing the the news on social media, trade analyst Komal Nahta wrote, “Terribly shocking news. Shri RajKumarBarjatya passed away some minutes back at RelianceHurkissondas Hospital. Can’t believe this. Met him just a week back at his Prabhadevi office. He spent so much time with me and my family. He looked perfectly alright then. And now, he’s gone!”

Ashoke Pandit also paid condolences to Barjatya family on social media and wrote, “Shocked and saddened to learn of Rajkumar Barjatya ji’s demise... Raj Babu - as he was fondly known -Heartfelt condolences to @SoorajBarjatya ji & the entire Barjatya family and #Rajshri parivaar.”

Late Raj Kumar Barjatya had produced many Bollywood hits like Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo (2015), Hum Saath Saath Hain (1999), Hum Aapke Hain Koun (1994) and Maine Pyar Kiya (1989), Vivah (2006), Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon (2003) among others. His last production venture Hum Chaar hit screens on February 15, 2019. May his soul rest in peace.
