A few days before Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, the actor’s former manager Disha Salian had died after reportedly falling off the 14th floor of a building in Malad. After their deaths, several unverified conspiracy theories surfaced on social media. Sooraj Pancholi’s name was linked to Disha Salian after a fake photo of him and Disha started doing the rounds on the internet. Sooraj said that he never met or spoke to Disha Salian in his life, and now, Sooraj’s mother and actress Zarina Wahab, in a recent interview, said that her son is innocent and never knew Disha.
While speaking to ABP News, Zarina Wahab said that firstly rumours about the party are untrue, and that there was no party. She then mentioned how Sooraj never lies, and he has mentioned that he doesn’t know Disha Salian, then why is he being linked with her? She then mentioned Puneet Vashisht’s defamatory post about Disha and Sooraj, and said that before posting such false, unverified things, one should think as a person’s reputation is at stake.
“People have made him a punching bag and have brought him in the centre of controversy for no reason. Allegations of Sooraj partying is unfair and is a lie. People before posting anything should think twice," she said. She said that Sooraj Pancholi is innocent and that time will prove it.
