Sooryavanshi Director Rohit Shetty Opts Out Of Exclusive Contract With Reliance Entertainment
Rohit Shetty and Reliance Entertainment has parted ways on their exclusivity contract, and now the director is free to work with whosoever he wishes
Big developments continue to rock the Hindi film industry after the pandemic lockdown. Old ties are being broken down and new ties are being formed to prevent the complete collapse of the entertainment business.
One now hears of Rohit Shetty opting out of his deal of exclusivity with Reliance Entertainment.
An informed source reveals, “So far Rohit Shetty and Reliance Entertainment were partners in all the films that he directed. But now Rohit will direct films in partnership with outside producers.”
Apparently, Sooryavanshi will be the last Reliance-Shetty co-production. Thereafter, Rohit Shetty can work with other producers if he so wishes.
Talking about Sooryavanshi, it is a multi-starrer cop universe which brings Shetty's most famous cop characters Singham and Simmba with ATS Chief Veer Sooryavanshi, played by Akshay Kumar. The film also stars Katrina Kaif as the female lead. It was slated to release last year, however, the release got postponed due to the pandemic.
