Sooryavanshi: Is Rohit Shetty Planning To Postpone Akshay Kumar-Katrina Kaif Starrer? Superstar Nods In Disagreement – Reports

Since March, last year, fans have been waiting with bated breath for the release date of Bollywood’s most anticipated film Sooryavanshi. The film that stars Akshay Kumar-Katrina Kaif in the leading role and Ajay Devgn-Ranveer Singh in the key roles, has been the talk of the town since a year now. Sooryavanshi’s trailer was released around February last year and it was slated to release on March 24. But thanks to the novel Coronavirus pandemic, the makers had decided to postpone the film to an undecided date. However later, the makers then decided to release the film in January this year.
Now as per latest reports, the makers of Sooryavanshi seems skeptical for January release of the film. According to a report in Bollywoodlife, Rohit Shetty seems to have changed his mind regarding its release date. It is being reported that with 50% capacity in cinema theatres and Coronavirus still a threat, the filmmaker decided to change the release date and push it to June-July ’21. While this is not yet confirmed by any cast or crew, the report states that Akshay Kumar seems to be in dismay with the director.
While Akshay Kumar is not in agreement with the change, Rohit Shetty is reportedly adamant on his decision.
Meanwhile, along with Sooryavanshi, Ranveer Singh led ’83 was scheduled to release in April, last year. But due to the pandemic, its release date was also changed.
