SP Balasubrahmanyam Passes Away: Salman Khan Aka Prem Mourns The Death Of Singer Who Was His Voice In The 90s

One more legend has left for his heavenly abode. Singer SP Balasubrahmanyam breathed his last after putting up a brave fight against Coronavirus. The singer tested positive for COVID-19 on August 5 and ever since then, he had been in the hospital. His health deteriorated over the past few days and he was put on maximal life support. Today, reports emerged that he is no more. Many celebrities like Riteish Deshmukh, Akshay Kumar and others took to their respective social media handles to mourn his death. Now, Salman Khan too has expressed grief.

In the 90s, SP Balasubrahmanyam was said to be Salman Khan's voice. The legendary singer sang many songs for Salman that actually took the actor's career to the next level. From Mere Rang Mein Rangne Wali from Maine Pyar Kiya to Pehla Pehla Pyar from Hum Aapke Hain Koun, SP Balasubrahmanyam did playback for many beautiful songs picturised on Salman Khan. So taking to his Twitter handle, Salman Khan wrote, "Heartbroken to hear about #SPBalasubrahmanyam sir... you will forever live on in your undisputed legacy of music! condolence to the family #RIP."

Just yesterday, Salman had posted an emotional tweet saying, "Bala Subramaniam sir . All the strength hope wishes from the bottom of my heart to a speedy recovery n thank u for every song u sang fr me n made special your dil dewana hero prem, Love u sir."




On the other hand, music maestro AR Rahman wrote that he is devastated over the news of the singer's passing away. Akshay Kumar, who is currently in the UK shooting for his film, wrote "Deeply saddened to hear about the demise of Balasubrahmanyam Ji. Just a few months back I’d interacted with him during a virtual concert in this lockdown..he seemed hale, hearty & his usual legendary self...life is truly unpredictable.
