Playback singer Dhvani Bhanushali is on a promotional spree for her latest vibrant Navratri song, Mehendi with Gurfateh Singh Pirzada. Owing to the current boom around social media and Youtube, several singers have been provided with the platform to showcase their talent. Amid all the competition, Dhvani stays at the top tier with sheer talent and hardwork. She has become a popular and much-sought-after singer in a short span with several successful songs in her kitty. But this time, things are very different, as Mehendi is her first song without any label backing her.
Dhvani has time and time again offered several chartbusters - Vaaste, Le Jaa, Baby Girl, and more, which keep trending on the social media. So in a chat with SpotboyE -- on Social Ka Superstar, the popular playback singer was asked what makes her songs trend on social media. Without any delay, Dhavni simply answered the question and said, “Just make a good song.”
“There’s not much to it, I feel some songs will trend if the audience like it. It’s all in the audience’s hands. If tomorrow I make a song I might as well make a good song that I believe in and if it trends then god is kind and everything is good,” Dhvani Bhanushali added, while speaking about her trending songs.
She also mentioned that the trending of the song is not the only parameter for its success.
"I mean if a song is trending, then God is kind... And it's good. But a song trending cannot be the parameter of the success of the song. Even if it doesn’t do well on [Instagram] Reels, you know as an artiste know that maine 100 per cent diya tha... That’s the melody that I wanted to go ahead with... That’s the lyrics that I wanted to go ahead with, and the song as a whole makes me happy as an artiste and it talks about my identity and what I am about,” she told SpotboyE.
The singer also shared a few interesting details about her social media accounts and activities, and revealed that she has never DMed anyone. “I mean I’ve replied, but I’ve never sent a message. I mean I feel like I’m probably creeping into their space, I don’t know I’m kind of a shy person.”
‘Mehendi’, sung by Dhvani Bhanushali and Vishal Dadlani, is penned by Priya Saraiya and composed by Lijo George and DJ Chetas. The song’s video which stars Dhvani Bhanushali and Gurfateh Singh Pirzada is an upbeat track set in Udaipur and has become popular ever since its release.
