Sridevi, India’s first female superstar and undisputed queen of cinema, would've turned 58 today. Her tragic demise has left a huge void in the Film Industry and that would be hard to fill. In the 90s, Sridevi was at the top of her game and every actor had wished to work with her at the time. In fact, superstars of today Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan went out of their way to ensure that they had a Sridevi movie to their credit.
However, there was one actor who refused to pair opposite Sridevi, fearing that the audience may not accept his pairing with her, considering that she looked older to him. Well, we are talking about Perfectionist Aamir Khan. Yes, you read that right! The Dangal star had reportedly refused to work with the Mr. India actress. It is said that Aamir, who had started off his career by playing a college boy in Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak opposite Juhi Chawla, wished to only work with newer and upcoming heroines like Madhuri Dixit, Juhi, Karisma Kapoor and Raveena Tandon.
Hence, as per reports, Aamir backed out of the movie, which he and Sridevi were offered despite having done a photoshoot together.
While Sridevi had worked with SRK in 1996 action drama Army, she shared silver space with Salman Khan in movies ‘Chandra Mukhi’ and ‘Chaand Kaa Tukdaa.’
