None had expected that on the unfateful day of February 24th, 2018, Bollywood would lose its first female superstar and the nation would lose one of the most talented artistes, Sridevi. The actress breathed her last in a Dubai hotel room and her death was said to be a case of accidental drowning in a bath tub.

The entire country mourned over her loss and today, exactly after a year, we all stand together and remember the gorgeous Sridevi. While daughter Janhvi shared an emotional post last night, now some time back, Sridevi’s brother-in-law and co-star of several movies Anil Kapoor has shared a picture from the prayer meet and written, “An unbearable loss is only made bearable through fond memories...We miss you #Sridevi. A whole lot.”


Some time back, we shared her last interview and piece of advice for daughter Janhvi Kapoor. Speaking to India Today, Sridevi had said, “As a mother, like any mother, whether they are coming to this profession or any other, you just tell them to do the right thing. Like, do hard work, give your 100 percent, hard work always pays.” Sadly, Sridevi passed away just five months before her daughter Janhvi’s Bollywood debut Dhadak.
