Sridevi's 3rd Death Anniversary: Boney Kapoor With Daughters Janhvi Kapoor And Khushi Kapoor Perform Puja At Late Actress' Chennai Residence
Boney Kapoor along with his daughters Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor perform puja in memory of his late wife Sridevi on her 3rd death anniversary
Filmmaker Boney Kapoor along with his daughters Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor performed a puja just ahead of his late wife-actress Sridevi’s 3rd death anniversary. Like every year, the family performed a puja in her memory at the late actress’ Chennai residence in Mylapore. Luckily this time Khushi had also accompanied her father and elder sister Janhvi as she was in town. In 2020, Khushi could not attend the puja as she was in New York pursuing her studies.
Back then Janhvi and Boney Kapoor had to perform the puja in the presence of the late actress’ family members. In 2020 Janhvi has posted a picture with her family members after the puja as they laughed together, with her caption remembering her mother. Her caption read, “Wish you were here.” Janhvi often posts unseen pictures of her mother, with heartwarming captions as she dearly misses her. The National Award-winning actress passed away just a few months before Janhvi Kapoor marked her Bollywood debut with Dhadak.
Sridevi passed away on February 24, 2018, in Dubai, when she flew down to attend Boney Kapoor's nephew Mohit Marwah’s wedding.
During the COVID-19 lockdown, the Dhadak actress had penned an Instagram post about how she missed her mother and things she learnt during that phase. Janhvi in 2018, just before her film's release had done an interview with Karan Johar for Vogue where she opened up about the last interaction she had with her mother. "The day before she left for the wedding, I had to shoot, but I couldn’t sleep, so I was like, “I need you to come and put me to sleep.” But she was packing, so by the time she came to me I was half asleep. But I could feel her patting my head", Janhvi revealed.
