Sridevi’s Mortal Remains To Be Airlifted From Dubai At 5PM, Case Stands Closed

Sridevi’s body is likely to be airlifted at 5pm, Dubai time, say sources close to Boney Kapoor. The veteran actress' remains are likely to reach Mumbai by 10pm IST. 

Meanwhile, according to the Public Prosecutor the case stands closed, no further investigation will take place.

Minutes back we told you that an NOC has been issued by the Dubai Police and that Sridevi’s mortal remains can now be released.

The news has come as relief for the Kapoor family and fans of the veteran actress Sridevi.

The NOC letter says that Sridevi’s body can be handed over to the late actress’ family, post which it will proceed for embalming.


The development also means that Sridevi’s remains are likely to reach Mumbai later tonight.

Confirming the news on their official Twitter handle, The Consulate General Of India, Dubai said, “DubaiPolice has handed over the Consulate and the family members letters for the release of the mortal remains of the Indian cinema icon Sridevi Boney Kapoor so that they can proceed for embalming.”
