The world of Bollywood fanatics came to a standstill when Paresh Rawal confirmed Kartik Aaryan was in talks for Hera Pheri 3. With speculations of the younger star replacing Akshay Kumar as Raju and Khiladi Kumar revealing that he wasn’t satisfied with the scripts, it left the netizens enraged.

While many expressed their sadness through hilarious memes, some went so far as to write threatening messages to Aaryan on his social media handles. The angry environment has calmed down a little since the reports of Kartik being in talks with the makers for a completely different character has made rounds on the internet this week. Now in an interaction with Bollywood Hungama, actor Suniel Shetty, who plays the role of Shyam, has opened up about the rumours. He shared that Akshay is irreplaceable in the franchise and that Kartik is being cast as a completely new character. He shared that getting the 55-year-old actor back in the movie would be the best thing that could happen.


Talking about Raju’s character being dropped all together, Shetty shared that he will personally talk to Akshay and the makers to see what can be done. He said, "What finally happens is something that needs to be seen. I am not aware because I am genuinely busy with Dharavi Bank. I have had no time to sit down and work on all this. After November 19, I'll sit down and understand and talk to Akki and others and see what happened."

Only time will tell if Suniel will manage to convince Akki to return to the franchise, as without him the movie will always be incomplete. The trio of Raju, Shyam and Baburao is dearly missed by the audience. On the work front, Suniel Shetty will be making his OTT debut with Dharavi Bank. Starring Vivek Oberoi and the senior actor in the lead roles, it will be streamed on MXplayer from November 19.
