Mrunal who became extremely popular with the role of Bulbul on Zee TV's KumKum Bhagya marked her Bollywood debut with Love Sonio. After bagging the lead role in Super 30, the first person she informed was her sister Lochan Thakur who is also a well-known makeup artist in the industry. Mrunal took to her Instagram to share her reaction and believe us it will make you emotional. Sharing the video, Mrunal wrote, "@missblender is probably going to kill me for sharing this but I just couldn't resist. The day I told her I Am doing #super30 playing#supriya opposite @hrithikroshan ......the joy, happiness and tears was on another level ... blessed to have a sister and family who always pray for me and wishes for the best ....

In an interview with Mumbai Mirror, Mrunal opened up on her experience of working with Hrithik, "Four months later, I got to know it was him and the first thought that came to mind was Ik Pal Ka Jeena," she said referring to Hrithik's song from Kaho Na Pyaar Hai which became an iconic moment in his career. On what it felt like to be playing his love interest in the film, Mrunal said, "Nothing better than romancing the Greek God himself. I was a little under-confident initially, but Hrithik helped me with the scenes, which elevated my performance."
