Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s sudden and untimely demise left many fans, friends and close ones in shock and grief. Till today, many of his well-wishers are grappling with his demise. The actor died on June 14, last year in his Mumbai apartment. He was 34. He was born on January 21, 1986, today marks Sushant Singh Rajput’s birth anniversary. Sushant Singh Rajput marked his Bollywood debut with the 2013 film Kai Po Che directed by Abhishek Kapoor. The film became a commercial and critical success. The late actor played the role of Ishaan Bhatt in the film, a cricketer. That year, Rajput was nominated for the Filmfare award, Best Debut Actor, for his stellar performance. The fine actor was also loved for his role in Aamir Khan and Anushka Sharma’s film PK, directed by Raj Kumar Hirani.  SSR then featured in the 2016 film M.S Dhoni: The Untold Story where he played the role of former Indian cricket team skipper M S Dhoni.

Sushant trained for almost 13 months to get his game perfect for the movie. The film was directed by Neeraj Panday, and SSR received nominations for many awards namely Filmfare Awards, the International Indian Film Academy Awards and bagged an award at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne. Sushant Singh Rajput also featured in 2019 film Chhichhore which was a commercial and critical success. He garnered much praise for his stellar performance in the Nitesh Tiwari directed film. The late actor’s last film was Mukesh Chhabra’s Dil Bechara alongside Sanjana Sanghi. The film was a huge hit and released last year, months after SSR’s demise. Fans showered lots of love on the film and praised the late actor’s performance.

Meanwhile, Sushant Singh Rajput was also widely known for his interest in astrophysics. The science genius was ahead of his times and constantly shared pictures and videos, gazing at the moon on social media. SSR owned a high-end Meade LX-600 16" telescope which is used for stargazing purposes. He also had a collection of 125 books including a six-volume theoretical physics series. The late actor who was prepping for his role in the film Chanda Mama Door Ke also got the opportunity to train at NASA, in the US. SSR had intended to head back and complete his instructor training, aspiring to be chosen for the 2024 Artemis program. Reportedly, Rajput, who had a keen interest in astronomy had reportedly also purchased a piece of land on the moon, in the darker side of the celestial body.
