Earlier in the day, we reported how late actor Sushant Singh Rajput's sister Shweta Singh Kirti shared hee exasperation on the fact that IPS officer Binay Tiwari, who has come all the way from Patna to lead Sushant's death probe, has been 'forcefully' asked to quarantine for 14 days in Mumbai by the BMC. This has only led to double the outage by netizens on social media. Now, as per a report in Republic, the team of four cops from Bihar, who were already neck-deep into the investigation, too, has been asked to undergo quarantining in Mumbai. The officers in question were probing the actor's death case from the past five days.

Republic adds that the BMC is likely to put out an official statement soon. "BMC officials have cited protocols in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic in the country, though any belated quarantining of the Bihar cops will leave little doubt that the action is for the sole purpose of hampering the probe," states Republic. Reacting to the news of Binay Tiwari getting quarantined, the late actor's sister questioned how an on-duty officer can be asked to do so. Taking to her Twitter, Shweta wrote, "What? Is this even for real? How can an officer sent on duty be quarantined for 14 Days? #JusticeForSushant."
