Sushant Singh Rajput Death Case: NCB Arrests A Drug Peddler In Goa After They Spot A Link With SSR’s Case
After the untimely demise of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, his father had filed an FIR against his girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty. Since then Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had to intervene in the matter and during the course, Enforcement Directorate and Narcotics Control Bureau had to also come on board after seeing a connection to money laundering and drugs-related chats. Many named from Bollywood emerged during the probe while Rhea, her brother Showed Chakraborty among others were arrested. NCB is still investigating the matter and now, the latest report suggests that they have arrested a drug peddler due to his alleged connection to drugs, linked to Sushant Singh Rajput’s case on Friday.

As per PTI, the accused, Hemal Shah, was nabbed by a team of the anti-drug agency. “Shah's alleged involvement came to light during the investigation of a drugs case linked to Sushant Singh Rajput's death,” he said. Reportedly, a trap was laid and Shah was apprehended in Goa. He will be produced before the court later in the day. Meanwhile, after the arrest of Rhea and her brother Showik who were registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, they were granted bail. On the other side, SSR’s parents are now battling with the producers of movies like ‘Nyay: The Justice’, ‘Suicide or Murder: A star was lost’, and ‘Shashank’ which he claimed to be based on the life of his late son.

SSR’s father Krishna Kishore Singh even approached Delhi High Court to seek a ban on the films as he believed people will take his death as an “opportunity to get fame by developing different theories/stories, at the cost of his and his family’s reputation.”

Sushant Singh Rajput died by suicide on June 14, 2020, after reportedly ending his life in his apartment. It was reported that he was battling with depression that compelled him to take his own life. ALSO READ: Late Sushant Singh Rajput's Picture From Pavitra Rishta Gets Featured In A Textbook To Teach Kids About Family Values; Fans Say 'SSR Is The Best'
