Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s sudden and untimely demise is still a shock for many of us. It was one of the most heartbreaking news of 2020 and his fans and loved ones continue to seek justice for the actor. Following SSR’s demise, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has been investigating the alleged drug nexus of Bollywood. In a significant development in the probe, the NCB has detained the SSR’s friend and assistant director Rishikesh Pawar, days after he went missing.
Speaking with IANS, an official on the case revealed that assistant film director Rishikesh Pawar was detained by the NCB officials in connection with the drug case linked to actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. The official said, "Pawar was detained by the Mumbai zonal team of the NCB after various summons were issued to him." As per the report, the official revealed that Pawar’s questioning is underway at the NCB office.
For the unversed, Rishikesh Pawar’s residence was earlier raided by the NCB officials. The agency had seized some gadgets from Pawar’s residence during the search. The assistant film director was a close friend to Sushant Singh Rajput. His name reportedly came forward during the questioning of another accused in the case. ANI had reported earlier that Pawar was missing after he was issued a summons by the agency.

Meanwhile, it was on January 21 that fans celebrated Sushant Singh Rajput’s 35th birth anniversary. It was the late actor’s first birthday after his sudden demise. Sushant Singh Rajput died on June 14, 2020 in his Mumbai’s Bandra apartment. His last rites took place on June 15. Till now, the NCB and Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is probing the actor’s death.
