Many renowned personalities of the entertainment industry have succumbed to the deadly novel Coronavirus. Today, in the shocking turn of events, Sushant Singh Rajput’s Chhichhore co-star Abhilasha Patil breathed her last after suffering from COVID-19 complications, as reported by IndianExpress. The actor is survived by her husband and son. Abhilasha has done quite a few Bollywood films. She essayed the role of a nurse in Chhichhore, she was also in Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Good Newwz and Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt’s Badrinath Ki Dulhania. Not just Bollywood, Patil has worked in the Marathi and Bhojpuri Industry as well.

Sanjay Kulkarni, who shared screen space with Abhilasha Patil in Zee Yuva daily soap BaapManus, confirmed news of the actor’s demise to the same portal. He said, “Last evening around six, I got a call from Jyoti Patil, who worked with us in BaapManus, about Abhilasha’s poor health. I learnt she had gone to Benaras where she got fever and on her return to Mumbai, she tested positive for coronavirus. I tried reaching out to her, but both of her numbers were switched off. Then around 8.30 pm, actor Anand Prabhu, who played our son on the same show, informed me about her demise. This has been so shocking because she had so much to achieve in life. She had plans. Abhilasha was kind-hearted and such a hardworking artiste. It’s a huge loss to the industry.”

Amidst the second wave of COVID-19, several stars or people related to the stars like Bikramjeet Kanwarpal, Bigg Boss 14's Nikki Tamboli's brother, actor Pia Bajpiee's brother, Kannada film producer Ramu, music director of Bollywood, Shravan Rathod, from the duo Nadeem- Shravan, Titli actor Lalit Behl, Singham actor Kishore Nandlaskar and more have left for their heavenly abode due to COVID-19.

Tahir has shared a quote on his Chhichhore actor Abhilasha Patil's demise. He said, "To hear of the demise of a co-actor who contributed and worked on the same film is unnerving. Deeply saddened to hear of Abhilasha Patils passing . Strength to her family and friends at this time."
