It was on June 14, 2020 that the news of Sushant Singh Rajput's death sent shockwaves across the nation. The actor was reportedly found hanging in his apartment in Bandra. It was initially ruled out that the Kai Po Che actor died by suicide and was a victim of depression. However, later, his father filed an FIR against his girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty accusing her of abetment to suicide. Ever since then, three investigating agencies - Central Bureau of Investigation, Enforcement Directorate and Narcotics Control Bureau have been investigating the case. Today, on the five months death anniversary of Sushant Singh Rajput, his niece Mallika has shared a throwback picture.

Taking to her Insta stories, Mallika shared a throwback picture that sees a happy Sushant Singh Rajput posing with her. In the caption, she wrote, "God has you in his keeping, I have you in my heart." Her last post on Instagram too was dedicated to the Gulshan of her family - Sushant Singh Rajput.

Ever since Sushant Singh Rajput has passed away, his niece has been demanding justice along with his sisters like Shweta Singh Kirti. Through Twitter, Mallika has been raising her voice and opinions over the case. She had recently slammed supporters of Rhea Chakraborty too on Twitter. She had penned, "I’m surprised that right now, some people are suddenly remembering what “pain of a family” and “standing up for a colleague” means.”
