Sushant Singh Rajput’s Onscreen Son In Chhichhore, Mohammad Samad Recalls The Working Experience With Him; Says ‘He Used To Treat Me Like His Kid Off-Screen Too’
Actor Sushant Singh Rajput passed away on June 14, 2020, leaving his million fans in the void. Since his demise, there never has been a day where his fans have not remembered him or dedicated a trend to him on social media. However, other than his loyal fans, Sushant’s co-stars also fondly remember him. Recently, in an interview, actor Mohammad Samad who essayed the role of Sushant Singh Rajput’s son in Chhichhore recalled his working experience with the late actor.

He revealed SSR treated him like his kid off-screen too. He also mentioned the late actor was very sweet and that he really misses him. “I had a lovely experience. He used to share his problems with us on the sets and also solve our problems. He has taken me to his house for parties many times. He used to treat me like his kid off-screen too. During the ICU scene in ‘Chhichhore’, one of my eyes used to be closed and there were many pipes attached to my body, so he used to make sure I was comfortable. He was the one who used to make energy drinks for me. He was very sweet and I really miss him,” he told Etimes.

Furthermore, Samad even mentioned how he bagged the role in Chhichhore. Saying that he had offers from Kota Factory, Mardaani 2, Pati Patni Aur Woh and Bala but chose Chhichhore due to its ensemble cast and director Nitesh Tiwari. He apparently had auditioned for Bhootnath Returns but when he failed to bag the role, he waited for another opportunity to work with Tiwari.

“I was waiting for another opportunity to work with him, and I finally got ‘Chhichhore’,” he added.

Chhichhore was Sushant’s last film that was released in theatres. Technically, his last film was Dil Bechara which was released on Disney+ Hotstar. The film emerged as a blockbuster and it received the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Hindi at the 67th National Film Awards.
