Sushmita Sen On Nora Fatehi’s Dilbar: I Like The Original Version More

During a recent media interaction, former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen was asked if she liked the revamped version of her iconic song 'Dilbar' featuring Nora Fatehi. Here’s what she has to say

Satyameva Jayate’s song Dilbar featuring Nora Fatehi song is still topping the chart. But it was still being compared to former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen’s Dilbar from Sirf Tum (1999) which was a huge it. Not only the film was a hit at the box-office. About the song, Dilbar song too became a rage in no time. Recently, Sushmita Sen turned a showstopper for designer RMKV designer on the 2nd day of Lakme Fashion Week winter collection 2018. Former Miss Universe set the stage ablaze as she walked the ramp in handwoven silk saree.  

During the media interaction at the fashion week, she was asked if she liked the revamped version of her iconic song, Dilbar, featuring Nora Fatehi in John Abraham’s Satyameva Jataye. Sushmita replied and said, "Nora was absolutely fantastic in it and my favourite part of this song are the first two lines, which they added (in the revamped version) and is very well-done. The remix is also very well done. Nora has absolutely killed it but I still like the original version more (laughs!)"

Talking about Nora’s version, reportedly she had rehearsed for 10 days before the shoot. While talking about the prep, she had said," Doing a remake of an iconic song is always nerve racking because you never know if you can actually do justice to it. Sushmita Sen was iconic in the song and I hope I match up to her."

She further added, "I’m so lucky to have got this chance and thankful that Nikkhil Advani sir, Bhushan Kumar sir and milap zaveri sir trusted me to be able to do a song like this. The take on the song is very unique and different. It’s going to be one of the most visually stunning songs, with amazing hypnotizing dance moves I am sure this song will become a rage with the audiences"
