Swara Bhasker-Fahad Ahmad's Wedding Card OUT: Invite Shows How Couple Fell For Each Other, Their Love For Movies, And DDLJ Poster
Pictures of Swara Bhasker and Fahad Ahmad's wedding card is out and it shows how they met and fell for each other during a citizen protest!
In February this year, actress Swara Bhasker took everyone by surprise as she revealed she got married to political activist Fahad Ahmad. The couple opted for a court marriage. Now, Swara and Fahad are all set to get hitched in a traditional Hindu ceremony this month at the actress' maternal grandmother's house. Their wedding ceremonies will begin next week in Delhi. Amid preparations, the first glimpse of their wedding card is out and the invite looks quite filmy.
Designers Prateeq and Anupam shared the picture of Swara’s wedding card on Instagram and wrote in the caption, “We had the opportunity to work on the wedding invite for the fearless and fabulous @reallyswara and @fahadzirarahmad. Swara and Fahad wanted the invite to capture how they met and fell for each other during a citizen protest, their memories of Mumbai and Marine Drive, their abiding love for the movies, and of course, for their beautiful cat, Ghalib.
The beautiful illustration on the card is done by comic writer Anupam Arunachalam and it has slogans like ‘hum sab ek hain, ’hum kaagaz nahi dikhaege (used during the CAA protests) and ‘love is the greatest revolution.’ The beautiful invite also shows a bride clad in a red lehenga and a groom in beige sherwani, looking from their window at a protest. Besides this, the car also has a poster showing Mumbai’s Marine Drive and a poster of the iconic film Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge in the backdrop. It also shows the couple’s cat Ghalib.
For the unversed, Swara and Fahad first met in 2020 during CAA protests in Delhi and fell in love with each other. The rest is history!
