The second wave of the Coronavirus pandemic has shaken the whole country to the core. With rising numbers of cases and deaths every single day, and lack of medical facilities and supplies in hospitals, including oxygen cylinders and beds among others, the panic and fear has increased a lot within everyone.

However, in these uncertain and scary times, there has been one positive thing to come out—unity and support amongst the citizens. Usually, where social media is used as a tool to troll people and bring them down or as a tool for some light-hearted fun, during this time, it emerged as a tool to help several big celebrities and social media influencers using their reach and audience to arrange for as much help as they could in terms of medical supplies, medications, hospital bed availability or help for mental health.

Amongst those is also actress Taapsee Pannu, who has used her Twitter and Instagram account as a medium to amplify medical requests and there have been many successful attempts that have resulted in saving people’s lives, instances that the actress has shared on her social media. Also, apart from using her social media as a tool, the actress has also been reaching out to organisations working towards Covid relief work, personally as well.

The actress has also been giving shoutouts to NGOs and organisations working for Covid relief so that more people can know about them and join them to help more and more people.
