Taapsee Pannu Mourns The Death Of Her Grandmom 'Biji' With A Heartwarming Note, 'A Void That Will Stay Forever'
Taapsee Pannu pens a heartfelt note on her Biji's demise, reveals she was the last of that generation
For all of us, the loss of a near and dear one will always remain irreplaceable. Something similar is also the case of actor Taapsee Pannu, who recently lost her paternal grandmother, whom she fondly called Biji. Well, Taapsee was extremely close to her grandmother; hence it was an emotional moment for the Thappad star. Taking to her Instagram account, she shared a picture from one of the rituals that took place at a Gurudwara, along with a moving caption, and paid a heartfelt tribute to her Biji.
The post shared by Taapsee sees a photograph of her late grandmother placed at a Gurudwara with beautiful garlands on and beside it. In her caption, Taapsee revealed how she was the last of that generation in her family and her void shall be felt forever. “The last of that generation in the family leaves us with a void that will stay forever.... Biji," read her caption. Taapsee's Thappad co-star Pavail Gulati, Abhishek Bachchan and Tisca Chopra were among many others who offered condolences by simply sharing emoticons.
The actress didn't disclose the reason behind her grandmother's demise.

In a conversation with HT, Taapsee had revealed that she is quarantining with her sister, "I’m glad that my parents aren’t living anywhere near the hotspot. They’re in their 60s and need to be slightly careful. My dad is retired and mom is a housewife. Most of the time, they stay indoors and would only go out for a walk, meet friends, or visit the Gurudwara or market place nearby. So after the lockdown, it hasn’t affected them the way it has affected us. They seem to be more worried about how we’re coping with it."
