Taapsee Pannu Recalls Her Last Meeting With 'Shooter Dadi' Chandro Tomar; Bhumi Pednekar Says, 'It Feels Like A Very Big Personal Loss'
On Friday, veteran sharpshooter Chandro Tomar aka 'Shooter Dadi' passed away due to Covid-19 complications. Earlier this week, she had tested positive for the novel coronavirus and was admitted to a hospital due to difficulty in breathing. After her demise, Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar mourned her demise. As many know, Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar starred in Saand Ki Aankh. Taapse played the role of Prakashi while Bhumi played Chandro Dadi. In a recent interview with Bombay Times, Taapsee opened up about their first meeting and recalled the time she spent with her.

Talking about it, Taapsee Pannu said, "Bhumi and I met them at Phantom Films' office, a few months before we started shooting and probably a few days before the film was officially announced." The actress further added that she and Bhumi were like 'two fan girls' and they spent the entire day taking pictures and 'just talking to them, understanding what they did, how and why.' The actress went on to reveal that the last time she met Chandro Dadi was at a hospital in Delhi before the pandemic. 'She was really unwell but she came back, she fought her way through it all.'

Taapsee went on to reveal that Chandro Dadi's granddaughter was in touch with her and she had informed her about Dadi's COVID diagnosis. "We all thought she will fight back this time, too. She was responding well to medicines but her health suddenly went downhill. I actually for some reason thought she can never give up and she will come back, this time as well."

Bhumi Pednekar who played Chandro Tomar in Saand Ki Aankh shared, "It is completely devastating to know that Chandro dadi is not with us anymore." The actress described her as someone who lived a very fulfilling life and someone who made her own rules, paved her own path and had a beautiful partnership with Parkashi Dadi. "I feel so fortunate to have played her character, got a chance to learn about life from her and she has left a very big part of herself with me. My condolences to the family and everybody whose life she impacted because I know there will be many who will be grieving her passing away today. But she always said tann buddha hota hai, mann buddha nai hota. I know in spirit she will always be with us because her teachings are going to be with us. She will thoroughly be missed," shared Bhumi.
