Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’s Shailesh Lodha’s Payment From Over A Year Is Not CLEARED By Makers After Neha Mehta’s 40 Lakhs, Tapu’s Uncleared Dues-Report
Shailesh Lodha reportedly quit TMKOC because he felt disrespected as his year-long dues have not been cleared by the makers yet
'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' is one of the most popular shows on Indian television for obvious reasons. The comedy sitcom, which is the longest-running show, lately has been making headlines for different reasons. Last year, TMKOC hit headlines when its main character Shailesh Lodha, who was part of the show for 14 years, quit it for unknown reasons. It was reported that he ended his association because of the creative differences with the makers and now there is the latest development on his sudden exit from Taarak.
According to the report in Hindustan Times, Shailesh’s payment for over a year has not been cleared by the makers. And the money is said to be a six-figure amount. The report added that the actor has been behind the makers to clear his dues but Asit Kumarr Modi is paying no heed. A source close to the sets revealed “Shailesh’s payment from over a year has not been cleared by the makers of the show. It’s approximately a six-figure amount. He has been patiently waiting for the makers to clear his dues for almost a year. But producer Asit Kumarr Modi is paying no heed.” The insider added that Lodha felt disrespected following which he left the show without any notice. Besides Shailesh, other actors in the show including Neha Mehta and ‘Tapu’ Raj Anadkat are yet to get their dues cleared from the makers. Neha reportedly has Rs 40 lakhs due yet to be cleared. The source was quoted saying “This isn’t the first time when someone’s cheque has been delayed. Neha’s (actor Neha K Mehta, who played Anjali in the show) 30-40 lakh are yet to be cleared by the producer. Even Raj Anadkat (actor), who played Tappu, faced similar issues.”
Shailesh Lodha played the role of Taarak Mehta in the show. He was a part of it ever since the beginning but in April 2022, he quit the show.
