She is extremely proud of her and shares that 'Deepu' was her student in Bangalore for more than 7 years. She also reveals her many talents apart from acting which include sports, dancing and singing. Deepika was also a part of the Sophia Brass Ensemble and Choir which was the best in the country.She states that Deepika has a lovely elegant voice and that she hopes Deepika brings out her own album. She also gives her life advice and writes, "It is your hard work and dedication that has made you what you are today. As you start this new chapter in your life being married, just remember that the roads are always not smooth, negotiate each curve and the steep climb with love and utmost care, there is always that happiness in your destination.As your beloved teacher, I will always be there for you, to lend support in whatever way you require."

On the professional front, Deepika Padukone will be seen next in her upcoming film Chhapaak directed by Meghna Gulzar. The film is based on Laxmi Agarwal- an acid attack survivor.The film will be released in January 2020. The actress will also be seen in Ranveer Singh starrer '83, in which she will play the role of Kapil Dev's wife Romi. Kabir Khan's '83 will release in April 2020.
