Finally, after waiting for a long time, Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan, Sridevi's younger daughter Khushi Kapoor and Agastya Nanda’s highly-awaited debut film ‘The Archies’ has finally started rolling today.  Yes, you read it right! The film has finally gone on floors today and netizens just can’t keep calm. Directed by Zoya Akhtar, the film will be produced by Reema Kagti, who announced the news of the film hitting the floors with a picture of a clapboard. 

Taking to her Instagram handle, Reema Kagti shared a picture of clapboard with the film's title. While sharing it, she captioned “#Archie’s #shootstarts #TigerBaby’s first solo production #partnerincrime @zoieakhtar @Netflix”

This announcement has left fans quite excited as they have flooded social media with their heart-filled reactions. Reportedly, Amitabh Bachchan's grandson Agastya Nanda will be seen playing the role of Archie Andrews in the film. On the other hand, Khushi and Suhana will be seen essaying the roles of as Betty and Veronica respectively

Zoya Akhtar’s directorial film is said to be a live-action musical set in 1960s India and will be based on the teenagers of Riverdale. The Indian adaptation of the incredible comics starring Suhana Khan, Kushi Kapoor and Agastya Nanda will be released on an OTT platform Netflix. 

The project was announced back in 2021 by the director Zoya Akhtar. Talking about the same, Zoya had told TOI, “I am super excited to have the chance to bring The Archies to life. It was a large part of my childhood and teenage years. The characters are iconic and globally loved, which is also why I am a little nervous."

Meanwhile, Zoya Akhtar is also working on 'Kho Gaye Hum Kahaan' that stars Ananya Panday, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Adarsh.
