His cousin Kavita Barjatya has launched her own company and is no longer producing shows under the family banner
Sooraj Barjatya, who entertained us with his family dramas on the big screen, seems to be facing conflict in his family.
SpotboyE.com has it that the Prem Ratan Dhan Payo filmmaker and his cousin Kavita Barjatya, daughter of Rajshri Productions’ managing director Kamal Kumar Barjatya, have gone separate ways. Turns out, the duo was having creative differences while working on Kavita’s last production, Samrat & Co, which released in 2014.

The rift seems to have deepened now – Kavita has launched her own company Kavita Barjatya Productions and her upcoming show Ek Rishta Saajhedaari Ka is being produced under this banner instead of Rajshri. In the past, her TV shows have been produced by the family banner.
Not just that, she has discontinued working at Rajshri’s office in Prabhadevi and has even set up a new office in Kandivali.
When SpotboyE.com contacted her, she said, “Yes, I’m producing the show under my banner. I have started a new company of my own as it’s always a pleasure and challenge to do new things.” She then quickly added, “There are no creative differences with Soorajji or with my family. I continue to be the director of Rajshri Productions.”
