The Intern: Amitabh Bachchan Steps Into Late Rishi Kapoor’s Shoes; Deepika Padukone Makes Official Announcement, Calls It An ‘Absolute Honour’
Deepika Padukone took to her Instagram on Monday to make an official announcement about film The Intern. The actress shared a poster and welcomed superstar Amitabh Bachchan as her co-star in the upcoming film.
Deepika Padukone has many interesting projects in the pipeline. One of the films many are eagerly looking forward to is The Intern. As many already know, The Intern is a remake of the Hollywood film by the same name which featured Anne Hathaway and Robert De Nira in lead roles. The movie was a huge hit. Rishi Kapoor was earlier a part of the movie. However, due to his sad demise last year, many were curious to know who will replace the late actor.
Deepika Padukone now took to her Instagram and revealed that Amitabh Bachchan has replaced late actor Rishi Kapoor in the upcoming film. Sharing a new poster on Instagram, Deepika wrote, "What an absolute honour to be collaborating with one of my most special co-star again! Welcoming @amitabhbachchan to the Indian adaptation of #TheIntern."
Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone are known to have great chemistry on-screen. The duo's Piku was a huge success. Both did a phenomenal job in the same. It will be a treat to watch the duo together again. Fans are eagerly waiting for the film.
Apart from The Intern, Deepika Padukone will be seen opposite Ananya Panday and Siddhant Chaturvedi in Shakun Batra's untitled film. Deepika has also signed a film opposite Shah Rukh Khan titled Pathan. The actress will be seen opposite Ranveer Singh in '83.
