Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif will appear on popular comedy show ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ to promote their upcoming film Sooryavanshi
Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif are one of the most loved on-screen Jodis that we have in Bollywood. The two have given many blockbuster movies together including- 'Humko Deewana Kar Gaye’, ‘Namaste London’, ‘Singh is Kinng’, and ‘Welcome’ to name a few. Akshay and Katrina are now gearing up for the release of their upcoming film ‘Sooryavanshi’, which has been directed by Rohit Shetty. Both the actors will be seen promoting their film on the popular comedy show ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’.
Notably, Akshay and Katrina were at their candid best as they shared many funny anecdotes, experience of working with each other, and much more. While talking to host Kapil Sharma, Katrina revealed that in a shot, she had slapped Akshay. To this, Kapil Sharma asked her if there was ever a time when they had to do a re-take in a shot because Akshay is known to work very fast. Answering the question, the actress said, “Nei, thappad wala scene mein koi retake nei tha. Ek hi baar kiya.” Akshay Kumar then adds, “asli mein hua tha. Asli mein mara hai. Nei who actually gap nazar aa jaate toh isne asli mein pail diya.”

Kapil Sharma then asks Katrina if romantic scenes required more retakes. The Tiger Zinda Hai actress reveals, “Nei romantic wale scenes mein bhi hum zyada retake nei karte. Akshay aur mera tuning bohot acha hai.”
Akshay then mentions that they have done some 7 or 8 films together, but Katrina corrects him saying that they have done six movies together so far. She then counted them off, “Main batati hoon- ‘Humko Deewana Kar Gaye’, ‘Namaste London’, ‘Singh is Kinng’, ‘Welcome’, ‘De Dana Dan’, ‘Tees Maar Khan’ ek chota sa who beech mein ‘Blue’ aaya”. Akshay Kumar then said they did 6 ¼ films together.
Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif will also appear on Amitabh Bachchan's game show 'Kaun Banega Crorepati 13' as part of promotions.
On a related note, Sooryavanshi is slated to hit theatres on November 5 and it is the first big-budget film to release since theatres reopened in Mumbai after Covid 19 pandemic.
