The Kashmir Files Director Vivek Agnihotri Refuses Signing Kangana Ranaut For His Next Project: ‘My Films Need Actors, Will Never Make A Star-Driven Movie’
Bollywood’s queen Kangana Ranaut has been rooting for Vivek Agnihotri’s latest release 'The Kashmir Files' since its release. Right from slamming Bollywood over their silence on the film, praising Anupam Kher to saying the film has purged ‘the industry of its sins,’ Ranaut lately has been hailing the movie on social media. There were speculations that the Queen actress and Vivek may team up together for a project and that the filmmaker has signed Kangana for his next project.

In a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, Vivek has opened up about such reports and clarified that he hasn't signed the actress for any of his films. In fact, he said he has not even started thinking about his next projects as he is currently concentrating on the release of his next film 'The Delhi Files'. Vivek Agnihotri also explained that his movies don’t need stars, they need actors. He was quoted saying, “My films don’t need stars. They need actors. Meanwhile, Kangana has promoted Anupam Kher starrer 'The Kashmir Files' several times on different platforms. Talking to the media, post watching the film, the Tanu Weds Manu actress had said in Hindi, “Unko bohut bohut badhai. Unhone poori film industry k jitne bhi Bollywood k kiye huye paap hai aaj inhone dho diye sabne milke. Bollywood k bhi paap dho diye inhone. Itni acchi film banaiyi hai. Yeh film itni kabile tarif hai ki sab industry waalo ko chupe huye hai abhi apne bilo m chuho ki tarah nikal k aana chahiye isko promote karna chahiye.”

Also starring Mithun Chakraborty, Pallavi Joshi, and Darshan Kumar, the film was released this year on 11 March.
