Aishwarya Rai, getting into Nargis' shoes in the Raat Aur
Din remake, has been the talk of town since the past 2 weeks. You know that the
film will be produced by KriArj Entertainment and Siddharth Anand\, but bet you
didn't know who will direct it!
It's Abbas-Mustan.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan To Star In Raat Aur Din Remake
The duo have a wonderful script for the remake which
caught Kriarj head honchos Prernaa Arora and Arjun Kapoor's eye and made them
bring the duo on board.
The balance cast is yet to be decided. The hunt for two male actors- who will essay
the flamboyant Feroz Khan's role and the sober Pradeep Kumar's part- is
proceeding at feverish pace. The other modalities are also being fast
worked out.

Raat Aur Din is a 1967 Indian Bollywood film directed by Satyen Bose. The leading actress, Nargis, won the distinguished National Film Award for Best Actress for her role as Varuna, a married woman who suffers from multiple personality disorder. By day, she is a typical Hindi homemaker, whilst at night she calls herself Peggy and walks the streets of Calcutta.
Meanwhile, Aishwarya has been busy shooting for Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's Fanne Khan. She is paired opposite Rajkummar Rao in the film, which also features Anil Kapoor in the lead.
Feroz Khan And Pradeep Kumar In Raat Aur Din
While Aishwarya did play a double role in her debut film, Iruvar (1997), she is
yet to play a character with multiple personality disorder on the big screen.
