The Indian Premier League (IPL) is one of the most highly-anticipated sports events in the country. Before the Coronavirus pandemic, we would often see several celebrities at the IPL matches, cheering for their favourite teams. Celebrities such as Katrina Kaif, Anushka Sharma, Nargis Fakhri, Chitrangada Singh have graced the IPL matches in the past, adding glamour to the cricket league. Did you know, Kangana Ranaut also attended a match and was seen cheering for Shah Rukh Khan’s team Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR)?
Throwback pictures on Twitter show Kangana Ranaut at one of the matches of the Indian Premier League. Kangana can be seen donning Kolkata Knight Riders official jersey, as she showed her support to Shah Rukh Khan’s team. One of the pictures that is going viral on social media shows Kangana Ranaut sitting right next to King Khan as she extended her support to his team. The pictures are from the year 2010, two years after IPL was established. Back in 2010, Kolkata Knight Riders had won seven out of fourteen matches.
Meanwhile, Kangana Ranaut remains in the news for her bold, sometimes controversial tweets. She recently aired her views about all those who are ‘depressed and angry’ about the current situation with the Coronavirus pandemic.
She tweeted, “Anyone who is angry, depressed and rattled with current situation is an entitled brat,if tom Sun decides not to shine it does not owe you any explanation,this earth which nurtured and mothered you suddenly became hostile,she does not owe you an explanation.Calm down you fools.”
