Throwback Tuesday: When Late Actor Irrfan Khan Shared Stage With His Wife Sutapa Sikdar In A Play During Her Theatre Days – Watch Video
A video of late actor Irrfan Khan playing a Russian leader in a play has surfaced on the internet, back then he had shared stage with his wife Sutapa Sikdar
It will be a year in April 2021, after we lost talented actor Irrfan Khan, but time and again his family and fans have remembered him and kept him alive in the memories of his audience. One such video clip of the actor from his theatre days has surfaced on the internet that left us numb watching the actor nail it with his acting prowess. The late actor performed in the play named Laal Ghaas Par Neele Ghode as a Russian revolutionary.
The late actor was seen playing leader Vladimir Lenin in this play that was aired on TV. This video belongs from his National School of Drama days in 1987, when he had performed at Shri Ram Centre located in Delhi. It was a Hindi adaptation of Russian play named Blue Horses On Red Grass. The actor’s character was named Lenin who played the head of government of the Soviet Russia in between 1917 to 1924 and then Soviet Union from 1922 to 1924.
The play also starred his then batchmate and now wife Sutapa Sikdar, the two tied the knot in 1995. One of his co-stars and senior actress Mita Vashisht was also seen in the play. Take a look at the video below-

He was recently awarded Lifetime achievement award and also awarded as the best actor for his role in his last movie, Angrezi Medium. The award was collected by his son Babil Khan.
